While broad-spectrum and CBD isolate products contain non-detectable levels of THC—the compound that would trigger a positive drug test—it isn’t zero. Full-spectrum CBD products on the other hand contain THC but at a level of 0.3% or lower.
This means that if you use CBD—particularly full spectrum CBD—over a length of time, it’s unlikely but still possible to trigger a false positive on a drug test. To avoid this, we recommend abstaining from CBD use for a while if you’re preparing to take a drug test.
Be sure to also review the lab reports for the CBD products you consume. They will have detailed breakdowns on the exact THC levels for each of your products.
